Do we ask for much? Your clicks can make the difference

For the past year, the reporting partners and staff of The Reentry Project have been working relentlessly to raise awareness of the challenges faced by those returning from incarceration — and possible solutions.

This collaborative of 15 news organizations has delivered hundreds of articles and hosted important events to give voice to those facing reentry.

Now, we are very happy to learn that our work did not go unnoticed by our peers. And we are proud to inform you that we have been nominated for an award from the Pen and Pencil, the nation’s oldest press club.

Voting is open to the public through Friday.

Please click on “The Reentry Project” in the “Non-Traditional News Provider of the Year” category on the form embedded below.

While you’re at it, please vote for your favorite Philadelphia journalists, projects, products and organizations in every category.

For instance, our friend Peak Johnson of Billy Penn has been focused on our project all year and is nominated for “Community Reporter of the Year.”

Finally, don’t forget to click “Submit.” That’s all it takes.

Thank you!
